A friend and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Stonecrop Gardens in Cold Spring, NY; located about an hour north of NYC. We were planning to do some plein-air painting there but were so bedazzled by the gardens that we put our paint gear aside and spent the afternoon simply enjoying the 12-acres of delightfully arranged gardens.
